On Friday 14th August 2020 we held our first online live Assembly, broadcast to P1-P7 classrooms via Microsoft Teams.
Mr Hunter welcomed new P1 pupils, new pupils in P2-P7 and new staff – Miss Deeny, Mr Gilchrist and Miss Wittland. On returning to school and over the next few weeks pupils are being encouraged to share their experiences since school closed in March. Mr Hunter shared some of his experiences and reminded pupils they can share not only positive or funny stories, but can also share any worries or concerns with Class Teachers and trusted adults they choose.
We are all very happy to see everyone return to Sciennes and look forward to an exciting year ahead. Mr Hunter reminded pupils about the importance of regular hand washing and to bring a water bottle and outdoor wear every day.
We ended the Assembly by looking back on some of the highlights of 2019-2020 in an end of year review video- a year we will all always remember as a shared experience across our whole community.
