What a brilliant afternoon with former pupils, now in S4 at James Gillespie’s High School, who came back to Sciennes for the send off they missed in P7 due to COVID.
Mr Hunter provided refreshments and we gathered in the Hall to sing Fischy songs, by special request! It was so sweet to see everyone suddenly sit on the floor to sing along to “Build Up One Another”, doing all the actions! Great company, good fun and an absolute joy to see how they have all grown so much and thrived.
Mr Hunter gathered everyone on the Top Landing then led them out by ringing the traditional old school bell, with pupils llining the stairwell to wish them well.
We are very grateful to Mr Neil McCallum and Mr Ian Porter at JGHS for sanctioning the visit and getting word out for us.
Thank you to all who came along and made merry. Great to welcome you home!
Primary Seven it’s your turn today! We know you will have a very special group of young people to look up to, and who will look out for you, next year.
