Thank you to Mrs Beth Walker, one of our PE Specialists and Swimming Teacher, for organising and compering the Edinburgh Primary School Sports Association (EPSSA) Swim and Dive Gala event for all city primary schools on Wednesday 28th March 2018 at the Royal Commonwealth Pool. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event for all 500 children competing. Thank you to all the families who lent their support and cheered everyone on. All our P7 swimmers swam well and in the Breaststroke and Front Crawl heat races they reached the Final. We had many entrants to the Diving competition and remarkable success in this event with Sam achieving a Gold medal, Michael a Bronze medal in Level One Diving and Josh achieving a Bronze medal in the advanced Level Two Diving competition. Great sporting attitudes from all our pupils, cheering on all competitors – especially our JGHS cluster friends! Wonderful to see Headteacher of Tollcross Primary (and former former DHT of Sciennes) Mrs Alice Brown presenting medals on the day before her retirement, having been a keen supporter of EPSSA throughout her career.

Well done all!

A team photo by the event photographer was taken which will be published in due course.
